Job description:
Our client is a London based group now comprised of three separate independent companies, each focusing on the recruitment of professional for the investment and security markets. The clients are the top tier investment banks, asset and fund managers, global custodians, clearers and energy and commodities based in London and overseas. With all of these clients they enjoy strong and long-standing relationships, they have created a reputation for excellence and pride themselves on this. Their Recruiters are professional, discreet and highly experienced and work within an innovative and vibrate environment contusive to teamwork, communication and reward.
Due to their continued success they are looking to appoint a Team Leader/Manager to focus on Contract Recruitment within the UK IT Commerce market to set up and establish the desk into a market leader. This will be a totally cold desk and will require someone who has experience of cultivating new business from scratch, it’s not imperative that you have worked within the specific technology recruitment area but ideally you will come from a commerce recruitment background. As this is a new desk, the role would quickly be tasked to build up a team of Consultants as the business can sustain growth.
Purpose of the role:
• To build and develop the levels of business activity from a client and candidate perspective
• Grow contractor numbers yourself to an agreed level before beginning hiring process for a new consultant
• Devise, plan and execute training of all commerce staff from graduate level
• To ensure that team members and your individual targets are achieved in accordance with the company business plan
• In time, (est. within 12 months) be managing a team of 3+ Consultants - carry out all aspects of people management
• To adhere to company procedures and quality guidelines
This is an urgent role as this new team will form a key part of the continued business growth moving forward. The plan is to secure the person for this role with the view to bring in two consultants as soon as possible to join them in this business department.
To be considered for this role you will need a proven track record in management or be a senior consultant who is looking to take that next step, proven experience of technology recruitment into commerce, strong new business experience into technology, degree education, excellent client facing skills, exceptional telephone manner.
